How we work

  1. You request a callback. One short form, no commitment. We reach out within one business hour on weekdays, otherwise the next morning.
  2. Free 15-minute consultation. We listen first, ask the right questions, and tell you straight whether we’re the right fit and what it’ll realistically cost. No pressure, no upsells, no contracts on a first call.
  3. Clear written scope and quote. Before any investigative work begins, you get a plain-English plan with what we’ll do, what it costs, and what the deliverable looks like.
  4. Real-time updates and a secure deliverable. Text and email updates after each meaningful step. Reports, photos, video, and signed documents are available through your encrypted client portal — never sent over public email, never shared with third parties.

Discretion, secure systems, and what’s different about working with us

Investigative work is sensitive. Most of our clients are dealing with something they don’t want their neighbors, employer, ex, or opposing counsel to know about. We treat that as the baseline, not an upgrade.

  • No paper trail through public email. Sensitive case material — photos, surveillance video, locate reports, signed affidavits, retainer agreements — moves through your encrypted client portal, not Gmail or Yahoo. Court-ready evidence stays out of the wrong inboxes from day one.
  • Single point of contact. You’re not bouncing between five people. The investigator working your case is the person who calls you back, briefs you on findings, and signs the report. If they’re in the field, our office team gives you status — they don’t take over your case.
  • Real-time updates by text and email. No “I haven’t heard from them in a week” phone calls. After every meaningful step — first attempt at service, surveillance shift completed, locate hit confirmed — you get a notification. You always know where things stand.
  • Built for Colorado civil court, not for billable hours. Reports are formatted to be admissible: time-stamped, source-cited, signed by a licensed Colorado investigator, and ready for your attorney to attach as an exhibit. We don’t pad hours to look busy.
  • Quoted before we start, not after. You see the price before any work begins. No surprise invoices.
  • Discretion as a baseline, not an upsell. Surveillance is conducted in unmarked vehicles by investigators in plain clothes. Locate work draws from public records and authorized databases — we don’t pretext, we don’t impersonate, we don’t tip off the subject. Process service is non-confrontational by default.

Types of surveillance we handle in Colorado

  • Domestic and infidelity — discreet documentation when you need to know what’s happening, not what you suspect.
  • Child custody and parenting time — court-admissible evidence of who’s with the child, where, and during whose parenting time.
  • Workers’ comp and disability fraud — for employers, defense counsel, and insurance carriers documenting activity inconsistent with claimed restrictions.
  • Insurance fraud and personal injury defense — independent activity verification with chain-of-custody video and time-stamped photos.
  • Corporate and employee monitoring — for businesses investigating off-hours moonlighting, theft, or confidentiality violations.
  • Missing-person and locate-and-monitor — when finding someone is the start, not the end, of the engagement.

How surveillance engagements actually work

Most surveillance cases run on a per-shift or per-case retainer with an hourly rate against it. Before any work begins, we tell you up front: how many investigators on the case, how many hours per shift you’re funding, the realistic odds of getting actionable evidence in that window, and what we’ll do if the subject is a no-show or the location is wrong.

Tactical detail you don’t usually get from a quote: we run unmarked vehicles, work in plain clothes, and write reports the same day. If we don’t get useful footage in your authorized window, we tell you immediately rather than burning more hours.

What you actually get back

  • Time-stamped, geolocated photo and video evidence
  • A written investigator report — concise, factual, signed
  • All raw evidence preserved with chain-of-custody documentation
  • Materials delivered through your encrypted client portal, ready for your attorney to attach to court filings

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you start?

For most non-emergency surveillance, we can have eyes on a subject within 48–72 hours of contract signing. Same-day starts are possible when staffing allows — call to check.

Will the subject know they’re being watched?

Almost never. We use unmarked vehicles, plain clothes, and rotating personnel where helpful. If the subject is in a position to be paranoid (high-profile case, prior PI involvement, security background), we’ll discuss countermeasures before quoting.

Is the evidence usable in court?

Yes — that’s the point. Every photo, video, and report is documented with time, location, and chain-of-custody, signed by a licensed Colorado private investigator, and formatted so your attorney can attach it as a court exhibit without rework.

What if you don’t get any useful footage?

You’re paying for time and effort, not guaranteed outcomes. But if a shift is producing nothing — wrong location, no-show subject, weather collapse — we’ll tell you in real time rather than running out the clock. You decide whether to extend, pause, or pivot.

Can my attorney be involved?

Yes — and they often are. We work routinely with Colorado family-law, civil, and defense attorneys, and we’re comfortable taking direction directly from your counsel if you’d prefer.
